A land reclamation project and runway extension was completed at the end of March 2008. The overall runway length increased from 3,455 to 5,875 ft. This extension of the runway makes the airport accessible by a larger number of aircraft. The Canouan Airport boasts the longest runway in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
In addition to the runway extension, the arrivals terminal was also extended to accommodate the increasing aviation services and visitors to the island.

This green public space provided facilities for both motorists and bus passengers commuting to and from the Raffles Resort as well as ample space for the residents of Charles Bay. The arrangement provides adequate parking and turning space thus reducing the congestion faced by buses and other motorists at the entrance to the resort.
The facilities provided include a bus terminal for up to five buses at a time and a covered waiting area. The refreshment area consists of benches, six covered food stands and parking for fifty-seven vehicles for visitors and employees of the resort, contractors working within CRD as well as residents of Charles Bay.
The landscaping is sensitive to the idea of maintaining a high environmental value for the whole area covering approximately 2.2 acres.

Villa Monte Carlo, where Trump Club Privee is located, features La Varenne, a European gourmet restaurant with stunning views, and a Grand Ballroom for exclusive private functions.
A 17th century Anglican church, brought to the island stone by stone from the England at the end of the last century, has been lovingly restored and can be found in the center of the resort.
